Cubro

Make network visibility an integral part of your network

Cubro is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of IT network visibility products that provide network monitoring, analytics and security visibility solutions for Service Providers and private and public sector Enterprise networks.

Cubro help customers to address many of their business challenges by applying innovative technology-based solutions that help them to:

  • Customer retention and acquisition
  • Protect data and shareholder value
  • Achieve regulatory compliance
  • Improve business flexibility and continuity
  • Manage costs and increase ROI of network monitoring, security and analytics solutions

Cubro products observe all traffic traversing an organisation’s network and copy relevant data from any part of the network, including on premise, cloud and virtual environments. The data is passed efficiently to 3rd party network monitoring, security and analytics tools in the format they require and when they require it to ensure there are no monitoring ‘blind spots’. The tools thus have full visibility of all network traffic to allow them to execute their function correctly and efficiently to improve IT services’ performance and enhance data security, while their loading is minimised to extend their lifespan and they are able to monitor previously disparate and speed incompatible networks and services.

As transformational technologies like 5G, SDN/NFV, SD-WAN, virtualisation, and IoT are being adopted, networks have become more complex than ever and with additional ‘blind spots’. Today’s data requirements for service providers and enterprises is that they must be able to have visibility of all of their data and applications in real time to secure and manage their growing networks and traffic demands while improving productivity and keeping watch for security attacks and leaks.

Consequently, Cubro solutions are instrumental in the successful outcomes of IT initiatives including:

  • 5G/4G/3G Customer Experience Management and Service Assurance
  • Digital Transformation
  • Data Security
  • Virtualised Data Centres
  • Software Defined Networking/NFV
  • High Performance Networks

Solutions

The flexibility and rich feature set of the Cubro products gives them the ability to create many solutions to fit your exact needs. Cubro believe in a decision simplicity approach and are here to help you in your purchase journey by identifying and weighing the features that are most relevant to your requirements. The growing complexity of networks has created a need for more effective solutions to the issues related to a blind spot. Cubro provide cost-efficient solutions that would cater to your specific needs of providing high port density, agility, security, scalability and network visibility.

Service Providers

Using big data analytics to bring together various data points like historical records, quality of service, network performance, billing information and call details can help telecommunication companies to identify and address customer problems. Cubro provide solutions which can help service providers to improve service quality and achieve customer satisfaction.

Data Center

Best practice recommendations around NPBs include finding a solution that delivers true link layer visibility. In some cases, this means implementing tools to monitor network devices and individual links. In other cases, monitoring all the way to the application layer is required. Cubro solutions help monitor network-only functions or monitor and alert on both network and application issues that arise.

Enterprises

Enterprises face risks of malware hacking, spams, viruses, etc. These security issues are the biggest threats to any company. Cubro solutions for network visibility can help enterprises to sift through the traffic and detect these threats. Deep visibility into content in real-time can help enterprises to prevent such intrusions.

Government Organisations

Preventing failures is much more effective than repairing them especially when it involves providing a reliable and secure data environment. With proper visibility into your network, you can prevent, detect and respond to threats and identify attacks. The final goal of a visibility architecture is to be able to capture data smartly at regular intervals for monitoring.

Products

Omnia

Omnia is a unique range of integrated capability products that scale from low cost entry level through to high performance Data Centre products for small through to large Enterprises. Omnia integrates multiple capabilities into a single appliance including network TAP, Advanced Network Packet Broker, packet capture and the ability to host Cubro and third party software applications. Depending on the software installed Omnia can be configured as an integrated network TAP and Advanced Network Packet Broker, integrated network TAP, ANPB and network monitoring appliance or security appliance or analytics appliance.

Key features are software dependant and include:

  • Port speeds from 1 Mbps to 100 Gbps
  • Packetmaster and Sessionmaster features plus advanced features
  • Netflow/IPFIX/DPI probe
  • Replaces up to 4 appliances with a single appliance

Sessionmaster

Sessionmasters are a range of non-blocking Advanced Network Packet Brokers designed for Enterprise and Service Provide use cases. Sessionmasters understand network traffic up to OSI Application layer 7 to filter, replicate and optimise relevant network traffic and send the replicated traffic to network monitoring, security and analytics tools.

Key features are model dependant and include:

  • All ports and software are activated without additional licenses
  • Ports speeds from 1M bps to 400 Gbps
  • L2-L7 traffic filtering, replication, aggregation and modification

Advanced features in addition to the Packetmaster features include SIP/RTP filtering and correlation; GTP load balancing and inner IP filtering; VXLAN and inner IP filtering; IMSI filtering; deduplication; Deep Packet Inspection; Netflow/IPFIX generation and export; SSL/TLS decryption

Packetmaster

Packetmasters are a range of non-blocking Network Packet Brokers that scale from low cost entry level through to high performance Data Centre and Service Provider performance solutions.

Packetmasters understand OSI layer 2 to transport layer 4 network traffic to filter, replicate and optimise relevant traffic and send the replicated traffic to network monitoring, security and analytics tools.

  • Key features are model dependant and include:
  • All ports and software are activated without additional licenses
  • Port speeds from 1 Mbps to 400 Gbps
  • L2-L4 traffic filtering, replication, aggregation and modification
  • Advanced features including session aware load balancing; time stamping, tunnel end point, tunnel termination, packet slicing, encapsulation and decapsulation
  • Redundant PSUs

Bypass Switches

Cubro Bypass TAPs are a range of intelligent network TAPs that are able to automatically bypass an in-line network tool or device that is out-of-service and automatically restore the link when service is restored.

Key features are model dependant and include:

  • Hardware and software switching options
  • Copper and fibre interfaces
  • Port speeds from 1 Mbps to 100 Gbps
  • Traffic aggregation, filtering, load balancing and heartbeat
  • Trigger options
  • Redundant PSUs

Network TAPs

Cubro manufacture a wide range of optical and electrical network TAPs that allow real time monitoring access to a physical data link with no network performance degradation or risk. TAPs are installed in-line to copy complete network traffic that can be used by network monitoring, security and analytics tools.
